Just a quick note to say that Rocket has been adopted. Tammy's picture has also been removed from the home page since she's been adopted too. Obie still needs a home, now more than ever as his foster is planning to move out of state soon.
In other news, we are working on a Newsletter to share with you what is new with us.

The puppies are near ready to go to their new homes. We have received many applications for all four of the puppies. We will be contacting the successful applicants soon. Meanwhile, we still have many other great dogs who need homes! Check out Tammy & Obie or the dog that is known around here as "Dog Who Hugs", Champion! Are you that person who will hug him back?

Sorry it's been so long since an update, yours truly, the webmistress has been under the weather for a good while. Hope everyone likes today's update which features an updated Donation page which includes a $2 button because even just that little bit helps because it's easier for 50 people to donate $2 than it is for two people to donate $50. Please donate a couple dollars right now if you can.
The biggest change was to the home page which became our "What We Do" page that you can see on the right bar. Also since the last update, there's been updates to the New Beginnings and Wish List.
Most importantly though, as you've already seen on the new home page, there are two dogs who we do not have room for and their foster mom can't keep them much longer. If you or anyone you know is looking to adopt soon, please consider Tammy and Obie. They do not have to be adopted together but they must not be adopted into single dog homes because they are not used to being alone (when you're at work). Please spread the word about Tammy & Obie! Our fingers are crossed for them!

Bad news, one of our volunteers who does the homechecks has broken her wrist. We ask your patience and understanding when it comes to scheduling homechecks for the next 6 weeks!
In the meantime, check out the new pictures and letters on our New Beginnings page! And please meet Champion (named for his champion hugs), Charlotte, Betsy, Marina and Halle!
As always, our sanctuary depends solely on your donations so please help! Every cent goes towards the care of the dogs from food, to medicine, to the employees who keep their home clean.

We've been having some problems with our application form lately. So we gave it an overhaul! Instead of a giant form to fill out. It's been broken up into a 9 step process. The best part is that if you are interrupted from filling it out, you can retrieve and finish the application at any time using your email and zip!
In other news, it's been a hairy couple of weeks for our volunteers. But we strongly believe things happen for a reason. One of our volunteers blew out her transmission trying to deliver the monthly food donation from one of our benefactors. She was stranded at our sanctuary for several days. But the next day, we were offered a big food donation by an anonymous benefactor and if it'd been any other day, there wouldn't have been anyone free to go get it. She was free and so we hooked up the trailer to our sanctuary van and away she went!
And it doesn't stop with that hidden blessing. Her warranty status for her transmission was in a gray area but Saturn heard how the transmission died and decided to honor the warranty and fix it free of charge! Yay for Saturn!
Perhaps the saying "No good deed goes unpunished" isn't always true after all!
June 11, 2007 Five puppies (all under 1 year old) added to the website. Please meet: Meg & Jack, and the trio we affectionately call the Stooges, "Mo"nique, Larry & Curly! The Stooges were "road dumps" as tiny puppies left to hold their own against scary cars and coyotes.
June 1, 2007 The new Dog Angels website is launched!
